2013’s Emmy Awards

The Emmy winners will be announced on Sunday 22nd, and as a fan of many series and actors who were nominated, I’m hyped and I already got some names in my head.

Outstanding Drama Series:

It’s going to have to be between Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, my two personal favorites. Even though Game of Thrones was brilliant this year, but the final season of Breaking Bad was out of this earth. I’m going to have to go with Breaking Bad for now.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series:

Kevin Spacey is terrific in House of Cards, and I’d say he’s a really solid candidate. However, Bryan Cranston has been giving the performance that’s shocking all Breaking Bad watchers, and I’d say he’s most probably the man for the award.

Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series:

Last year’s award was won by Aaron Paul, Breaking Bad’s Jesse. And it was well deserved. But considering that Jesse hasn’t done much yet in this year’s season of Breaking Bad, I’d say the award may suit someone else better. And who else than the charming Peter Dinklage has given his fans an outstanding performance as Tyrion in Game of Thrones?

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series:

I’d go with Robin Wright. House of Cards.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series:

Considering that Skyler annoys me to death in Breaking Bad, I’m not going to choose Anna Gunn. Instead, the gorgeous and amazing Emilia Clarke should win this award.

Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series:

Even though Michelle MacLaren gave us a terrific end for the first part of Breaking Bad’s Season 5 with “Gliding Over All”, and even though I love Boardwalk Empire, but this award should go to David Fincher, the man who got me hooked to House of Cards only by watching its premiere, “Chapter One“.

Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series:

No episode no matter how brilliant can stand a chance in the face of Game of Thrones’ “The Rains of Castamere”. This episode, written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, made almost everyone who watched it cry. It was even better represented than it is in the books. Chapeau bas.

What about you guys? What are your opinions? Who should win?
